Dust Free Pits on the way !
There is a major road upgrade happening to the main highway that connects
the town of Alice to the North and South. This involves the removal of
the top layer of bitumen.
The bonus to our club is it may be reused and the club has been given
to as much as we need to coat the entire pit area.
As it is delivered in a particle form the process is simple to spread,
level and roll and hey presto we have dust free pits !!!
Thanks to Probuild for the preparation for the new surface.
Thanks also to the committee members and Brian Wegert for the
negotiating process to achieve a huge result to improve the facilities
at the club.
With the new grandstand, spectator fencing, covered pit areas,
new double in and out grids, storm water management
and a few cosmetic changes, the entire complex is now looking
fantastic.

New track upgrade a winner
Thanks to Danny Orr Earthmoving, there has been over 40 tonne
of soil tested clay material added to the track last week.
As we all know it will take a few meetings to come to it's best.
With 70 Karts attending the points meeting last Sunday, shows
the track will be at the best for the N.T. Titles.
The points meeting was well attended and many thanks to our
volunteers with our flaggies, officials,lap scorer, commentator and
our Mum in the the canteen, all doing a fantastic effort on the day.

The nomination forms and prospectus for the Brian Joy 2012 N.T. Titles
are available on the AIDKA website. Entries close on Monday 11th of
June, so get to it and enter NOW !!
